Liberal-democracy is dead.

Long gone are the days “we” at least used to pretend to stand for something “higher” than wealth accumulation and naked power.


The boredom that many liberal democracies feel for electoral politics is worrisome. Things look better in civil society, where the passion for modern politics has always been.

Citizens of liberal democracies.

Ask not which censors might suppress your speech. Ask first whether or not you have anything significant to say.

You say they want a revolution.

Things have gotten pretty bad when the least-bad defense of liberal-democracy is losing credibility.
