Too close for comfort.

What infuriates and embarrasses liberals is how Ayn Rand states their own “moral philosophy” with candor and crudeness.

Politics and police.

Certain practices of political philosophy set out norms of justice with no reference to non-ideal societies. In comparison to practical politics, the enterprise is highly reminiscent of a policeman directing traffic on an empty street.

Bad air.

Social science is mostly overblown common sense. Then again, moral philosophy is just as often inflated moralism.
