In “Star Wars,” the fantasy is divided into good and evil. In “Star Trek,” the science fiction is parsed into old and new.
Probably. But I’d settle for meaningful ideas.
People think that if their children look like them, things are staying the same. But that a child is born is proof enough that each is new.
Only the young can accomplish the new, a responsibility for which we are never quite mature enough.
Then, let us return to the new.
The development of the psyche brought a host of needs into the world. Unlike the old needs, the new needs could not be met.

A neologism should be coined when something new cannot be conveniently described with existing words. The imperatives of marketing and academia make it impossible to follow this simple maxim.
